From July 17^th to 19^th, accompanied by Mr. Huang Yi, general manager of China Overseas Engineering Group (COVEC), Mr. Chen Shiping, President of China Railway International Group (CRIG) and other officials from the relevant departments of CRIG, visited Nepal and conducted a series of business activities. During this visit, they met with the Minister of Irrigation, the Minister of Water Supply, the Director of Irrigation, the employer of Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project (BBDMP)and the local representatives of Huawei Company, called on the Chinese ambassador to Nepal, and held discussions with the employees of Nepal Branch. Li Jingtao, executive deputy general manager of the company, Rao Huaming, general manager of the International Department of China Railway No.2 Group, and others also joined the visit and activities..

On the afternoon of July 17^th, Mr. Chen Shiping and his entourage met with ambassador Ms. Yu Hong at the Chinese Embassy in Nepal. Mr. Chen Shiping reported to the ambassador on the progress of the BBDMP project and the market development in Nepal. Ms. Yu Hong introduced Nepal’s market environment, future development plan, China-Nepal relations, and gave specific guidance on overseas party building, compliance management, risk prevention, etc. And she fully affirmed the achievements of the BBDMP project, praised the project as a “star project” in Nepal, and encouraged the company to further develop the Nepalese market and strive to be a benchmarking enterprise.

During the visit to relevant local officers, Mr. Chen Shiping and his entourage introduced the profile of CRIG and the progress of the BBDMP project, and exchanged views on adopting TBM technology in new water diversion projects in Nepal. The professional ability and construction strength of CRIG and COVEC received high praise from the local officers and they expressed great satisfaction with the implementation of the BBDMP project and were willing to promote TBM technology in Nepal and continue to cooperate with us.

During the stay in Nepal, accompanied by Mr. Huang Yi, Mr. Chen Shiping also paid a visit to COVEC Nepal Branch and held discussions with the employees, saying that the sincere cooperation between COVEC and China Railway No.2 Groupin BBDMP has made the project achieve good social effects, which has also laid a solid foundation for further market development. On this basis, the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed between the two companies is in line with the benefits  of both sides, and is highly in line with the overseas project cooperation model advocated by CREC. In the future, both sides will continue to strengthen cooperation.
