At 9:30am, on October 14th, local time, the Nepal Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Multipurpose Project undertaken by COVEC starts the TBM excavation 2 months ahead of the expected construction period. The project is the second water diversion tunnel project in Nepal that crosses through the Himalayas. And it is also COVEC's second water diversion tunnel project and the result of continuing to deepen the Nepalese market and achieving sustainable development after the successful completion of the Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project in Nepal. The builders once again played a prelude to the TBM construction of tunnel with high buried depth, large diameter and single tunneling at the southern foot of the Himalayas. Since the start of the Project, COVEC Nepal branch has actively cooperated with the client and completed the overall design of the project, equipment installation and commissioning, TBM renovation, and segment pre-production etc. in only 13 months. The launching of TBM was 2 months ahead of the expected construction period. And COVEC, once again, overcame difficulties with "Chinese Technology, Chinese Quality, and Chinese Speed", demonstrating the brand strength of the CREC. Nepalese political leaders visited the project site many times, and the employer sent letters multiple times, to highly praise the COVEC's ability to perform contracts.
