From October 14 to 23 local time, Jiang Zhe, Chairman of COVEC, conducted a series of business activities in Guinea, Kenya, and Uganda, and carried out field surveys at country-specific subsidiaries and key projects.
Meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Guinea
On October 15, Jiang Zhe and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Sun Yong, Chinese Ambassador to Guinea. Ambassador Sun Yong commended COVEC for its performance in delivering the Simandou project and expressed hope that the company would continue to excel in operational management, leverage its strengths, and further contribute to enhancing the friendly cooperation between China and Guinea.
On-site Survey of the Guinea Project
During his stay in Guinea, Jiang Zhe met with the project owner of the Morebaya port-Simandou Mine Railway Locomotive Project, conducted an on-site review of the project’s preparatory progress, and chaired a project symposium.

Meeting with the General Manager of Kenya’s CPF Group
On the morning of October 20, Jiang Zhe and his delegation paid a courtesy call to Dr. Hosea Kimutai Kili, General Manager of Kenya’s CPF Group.

Symposium with Staff at the COVEC East Africa Headquarters
During his stay in Kenya, Jiang Zhe held a symposium with all staff at the COVEC East Africa Headquarters. He fully acknowledged the company’s operational achievements and urged the team to accelerate its institutionalization process while pursuing breakthroughs in business development.
Inspection of the Entebbe Municipal Road Project in Uganda
On October 23, accompanied by Entebbe City Mayor Fabrice Brad Rulinda, Jiang Zhe inspected the site of the Entebbe Municipal Road Project. The two parties exchanged in-depth views on developing the project into a landmark initiative in Uganda.
