On April 5 of 2025, local time, the completion ceremony of the airport runway reconstruction and expansion project was held in Simandou, Guinea. The COVEC Guinea Simandou Project Team not only successfully completed the reconstruction and expansion of the airport runway in the Rio Tinto mining area, but also became the first contractor in the mining area to achieve "5000,000 man-hours Lost Day Injury (LDI)free" for their performance and commitment to safety, realizing a double breakthrough in the field of project promotion and safety management.
