On the afternoon of June 14, Uhuru Kenyatta, the Kenya President accompanied by the Vice

President, William Ruto inspected the on-going Sigiri Bridge Project in Busia County in western

Kenya.
President Uhuru Kenyatta gave a speech after an introduction of the works in progress by

COVEC project manager. Kenyatta pointed out that the Sigiri Bridge is a project for the public

interests, and he believed that COVEC will hand over a high-quality project and achieve its

commitment to the local people.
The bridge, expected to be completed in Mid-July, will transform the socio-economic lives of the

people in the area upon completion. Currently, Sigiri bridge is being constructed according to

the Schedule.
