On July 31st, COVEC Morocco signed the main contract of NOOR TAFILALT Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project with Morocco State Electricity and Water Authority (ONEE-BE) and was approved on August 4th. The implementation of the project can effectively promote the export of domestic photovoltaic industry technology system and marks the opening of overseas renewable energy market by CREC and CRIG. NOOR TAFLILALT Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant Project consists of three stations with a total installed capacity of 120 MW which are located at MISSOUR, ARFOUD and ZAGORA. The total construction period for three stations is 12 months and O&M period 5 years. The expected commence date is early September 2017.
COVEC Morocco will strictly implement the project, and develop the market basing on this project. The company will exploit its traditional advantages in French-Speaking Africa Region to the full and assist CREC and CRIG to explore northwest African markets.
