To be an Environment-Friendly Enterprise

The subsidiary of COVEC in Mali called COVEC-MALI S.A. is located in Bamako, capital of Mali, with a coverage of 2 hectares. From the very beginning, COVEC planted many trees around the company to enlarge the green coverage. Now COVEC-MALI S.A. is just a beautiful garden with plenty of trees and grass with pavilions and platforms in Chinese styles. Birds like peacocks and pheasants even walk around people here and there.

COVEC-MALI S.A. donated Chinese wisteria seeds to local people in order to raise the awareness of environmental protection and beautify the city of Bamako. Nowadays when you walk on the roads of Bamako, you can see wisterias everywhere. These colorful flowers in the bright sunshine definitely bring pleasure to people. These flowers are kindly called “Chinese blossom” for appreciating the contribution of COVEC by local people.

There was once a asphalt site of COVEC-MALI S.A. in downtown which brought much pollution and affected human health. To solve this problem, COVEC-MALI S.A. moved the site to the unpopulous suburbs immediately by great efforts either in manpower or money. Local people were very touched by this initiative and said “From now on, we will protect our environment just as COVEC did”.
